Hey everyone, welcome to Learningworks for Kids Game Spotlights! This is a new series where we will be walking through some of your favorite games and talking about how playing them can help you get better at real-world skills! If you want to know more about how to take your gameplay to the next level, visit learningworksforkids.com and learn more about how video games can be a part of a balanced play diet.

Today it’s game set and match because we are talking about Tennis World 2! This game is a fast-paced, hyper realistic experience as the player takes on players from all over the world on different types of terrain. There are multiple different ways to play including singles, doubles, and in local and online play. This game also features a Career mode where you can experience the process of obtaining sponsors, managing your staff, and choosing the best equipment.

Players need to use their flexibility and focus skills to be successful in Tennis World Tour 2. Much like in a real game of tennis, the player needs to both pay attention and anticipate the moves of the other players while also being open to adapting if a shot does not go where they thought it would. Working Memory skills are also important because while the game is going the player needs to remember the controls to the game and react quickly in the moment without pausing to think about which buttons perform which actions.

Players also need to use their organization skills to navigate the new booster card addition to the game. Players can receive cards that allow them to boost their own skills or hinder the abilities of their opponents. Players need to know what cards they have access to in order to incorporate ones into the gameplay that will help them to win.
