In Marvel vs Capcom 2, players battle oppnenents in 3-on-3 tag-team matches. There is a large roster of characters to choose from, all of which are either characters from Marvel comics or Capcom games. Each fighter has special attacks and combos, which can be chained together to complete extravagant finishing moves. Some fighters aren’t as strong as others, but make up for it with speed, while others are big, strong, and slow. Players wanting to test their skills can even go online and challenge other players from around the world. Marvel vs Capcom 2 has a moderate amount of cartoon violence, but no blood. Some female characters wear revealing clothing, but nothing in the game is overtly sexual. Due to the moderate violence and suggestive themes, Marvel vs Capcom 2 is recommended to players ages 13 and up.

This Game is Good for Kids Who Need Help With:

Self-Awareness

Understanding our own actions, thoughts and feelings.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 features a large roster of characters to choose from each of which plays differently. Some characters are slow but very strong, while some are weaker but very fast. All fighters each have their own unique moves, so players need to explore the roster and decide which characters work best for their particular playing style. This may take some time, requiring players to evaluate their own performance and figure out which fighting style they are most comfortable with. Once they figure this out, players can choose a character to stick with, allowing them to focus on mastering that character's entire move-set. If players fail to understand where their strengths lie in the game, they will struggle to defeat players with a better grasp of their own strengths.

Working Memory

Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

Each fighter in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has a large number of combos, special moves and super attacks. In order to use them, players must enter complex button combinations with the controller. This involves moving the direction pad in specific directions while inputting sequences of buttons. Players who can memorize their fighters' moves and use them quickly in succession will be able to perform "combos." These strings of attacks can devastate an opponent, as it allows a continuous flurry of attacks to be issued, which are very hard to dodge or block. Players that only memorize one or two special attacks of a character will struggle to do well in the game.
