Exclusive to Nintendo 3DS, Mario Kart 7 brings the popular racing series into stereoscopic 3D for the first time — without the need for 3D glasses. Players choose from a variety of different characters, and can customize their race kart to their liking. Players race around zany tracks while trying to avoid obstacles and collect power-up. Players can drop banana peels to cause other racers to wipe out, shoot shells to knock over opponents or collect mushrooms to zoom ahead. Racers can either compete locally or online, allowing them to test their skills against players around the world. Due to the relatively simple controls, inoffensive content and optional 3D effect, the game is recommended for players 6 and up.

The Game Is Good for Kids Who Need help With:

Working Memory

Recalling and retaining information in our minds while working.

In Mario Kart 7, learning the twists, turns, and perils of the games many tracks is essential. The more familiar the player becomes with each track, the better he can compete. Knowing what sections of the track include obstacles like jumps or carnivorous vines allows the player to be prepared ahead of time and maintain his racing position. It is also important to keep in mind the placement of weapons and power-ups on the track. By picking up these power-ups the player can skyrocket to the front of the pack or knock out other racers. Missing these items can be incredibly detrimental to a player's chances of winning a race, thus he should be ready to grab them ahead of time.

Focus

Getting started and then maintaining attention and effort to tasks.

Mario Kart 7, like all of the previous iterations of the game, demands sharp Focus skills. The Player will need to employ sustained attention from start to finish in every race. Races can change in a heartbeat, sending trailing players to the head of the pack and knocking contenders out of the race altogether. Failing to jump a canyon or make a critical turn is not an option, especially on the game's harder difficulty modes. In addition to keeping an eye on the road, the player will need to keep an eye on enemy racers. Other racers are always looking to gain an advantage and will be more than happy to run the player off the track with a turtle-shell attack or banana peel.
